Vital for Colorado, an organization with deep pockets and ties to pro-oil and gas interests is purported to have dropped tens of thousands of dollars in the Erie election. If you take a look at their website, their framing of anti-frackers is unfortunately disrespectful and dismissive.
Case in point, this article.
Which brings me to my question, is the anti-fracking movement by citizens in this town attributable to out-of-town organizations stirring up trouble or citizens being led by politicians with anti-fracking agendas? Are citizens thinking for themselves and how widespread is the movement in Lafayette amongst regular citizens to keep fracking away from the town? Do any of you have a sense of that?
