Lafayette CO Council Attendance Record

There are two regularly scheduled council meetings a month. Per the below attendance charts you can see that, occasionally, special meetings are held in addition to the regular meetings. On the surface, regularly excused absences don’t leave a good impression with citizens as we want our elected officials to demonstrate commitment and be present during important decision making. Perhaps you can give us some insight on how to think about this. Does it concern you when no reason is given for absences and all absences are excused? Please provide facts and guidance for how to think about this rather than just opinions. We have included a poll below where you can indicate whether this is something that is important to you.
