Here is Bob Jencks, Chair of the Lafayette Historic Preservation Board, talking to Lafayette City Council on May 15, 2018, about improving the negative public perception of the board due to perceived heavy-handedness on restrictions for building. In a nutshell, the board is creating a Master Plan to define what houses are of historic interest and what is appropriate for amendments to the houses so that prospective homeowners are fully apprised.
